DANCING WITH THE MOON
My heart rings out a melody
My mind picks up the tune
I two-step in Gods garden
Dancing with the moon
The stars of observation
Are glistening all above
As if to show approval
Or recognition of my love
My lungs feast on the night air
The sun will be here soon
I'll rest, albeit shortly
So I can dance with him at noon

FREEDOM TO CHOOSE
Ok, alright world, here I am!
I'm here to stay until I leave
So, what's going to be the plan?
I might want to be a writer
And leave my words behind
A collection of my inner thoughts
For anyone to find
I might want to sing a song or two
And let my voice be heard
High above the tree-tops
Do you hear me little bird?
I might want to be a dancer
And shed my beauty and cheer
Saving a spot for the roses
Come their time of year
Or, I can skip from garden-to-garden
Doing a little of it all
Skipping through all but oblivion
Until the leaves fall
What a wonderful gift
This life of mine!
I've the freedom to choose
How to occupy my time
With peace in my heart
From Heaven above
The glories of a new day
Excite me with love

ARE YOU WELCOME?
You say you want my company
So, you want to have some fun!
Can you handle running barefoot
Naked in the sun?
Do you like to hear the birds sing?
Frogs and crickets too?
How free is your spirit?
And just what do you like to do?
Do you wake-up in the morning
With a smile upon your face?
Attack the day quite vigorously
Yet still keep your grace?
Is peace a top priority?
Love and laughter hand-in-hand?
Or are you simply visiting
This temporary land?
I've no invitation for spiritual darkness
No longing for pain
I tend to like the rainbow part
Best of all the rain
Are you singing in the bathtub?
Laughing at the soap?
You've really got to enjoy life, honey
Or I don't hold out much hope!
So, if you want my company
I'll tell ya what you can do
Live a prosperous life of love
And LAUGH!
I will surely welcome you

BUTTERFLY KISSES
For a spirit so free
and a heart so true
bountiful blessings
bestowed to you
Rich lavish gardens
with Lavender and Thyme
sounds of Mother Nature
forming rhythm and rhyme
Long peaceful walks
gathering endless treasures
moonlit nights
and other such pleasures
I wish you a lifetime
of clear surprise
sending butterfly kisses
to each of your eyes

Satirical Poetry
MORNING SONG (HEAVY METAL)
My Cockatiel sings incessantly
He speaks English too
Hi Taco
Pretty bird
Gimmie a kiss
And I love you
He awakes every morning
With a brand new song
Kinda like me
How could we go wrong?
We both like early mornings
The start of a brand new day
We keep each other company
And we both have much to say
This morning's a little different, however
Something's weighing on his mind
He's squawking up a migraine
And my sanity is on the line
I've tried to calm him down
I've given him some seed
Come on Taco...
Pretty bird…
I've got revisions to read
My head is stuck in echo sphere
My nerves are wound up tight
If you don't bring it down a notch or two
You'll be demonstrating the freedom of flight
How can I be mad at him?
He is only a bird
With his cute little rosy cheeks
And passion for the spoken word
Yes,
Mostly, he's a charmer
A real feathered treat!
It's a good thing I've got headphones
And a comfy computer seat

PLANET ELSEWHERE
They've got old, green, bumpy faces
And wild, pink, spaghetti hair
Purple eyes and blue goatees
What do you mean, I shouldn't stare?!
Billy took me out in the field last night
We were playin' Truth-or-Dare
We were havin' fun for an hour or two
But then we both got scared!
His horse threw back and started to run
The cows, they all took off!
Rainbow colored mist formed around us
As we choked and gasped and coughed
The next thing I remember
We're wakin' up here!
With you lookin' at me
Sayin', Andy, shhh... don't stare!

I KNOW... HE KNOWS... I KNOW...
(A prayer for the impatient. haha)
I know that Jesus loves me
He hears my daily prayers
Then why do I keep stumbling
Up these never-ending stairs?
He knows I'm facing hard times
I know He hears my cries
I want Him to come help me
And to dry my weeping eyes
I know He knows I'm waiting
He knows I'll wait my turn
Patience is a virtue
One I've yet to learn
P.S. Please hurry!

Scary Poetry
CREEPIN' CRITTERS
Critters are creeping
In darkness they roam
Hiding and seeking
For food to take home
Killing and packing
Their midnight treat
Makin' their way
While munchin' on meat
I wouldn't go out there right now
They might haul you off
And think you're a cow!
They could take you out
To a far away place
And nibble your nose
And lick your face!
Critters are creeping
In darkness they roam
Hiding and seeking
For food to take home
I wouldn't go out there right now!

EYES
I looked into your windows
I thought you might be home
Now I know what occupies
is merely flesh and bone
No blood to warm your body
No heart to pump it through
A nasty mess of empty veins
displays a chilling view!
 Nature Poetry
SPRING
Spring, my favorite time of year
New babies are here
They look up to their parents, screaming
Feed me, love me, show me the way
Sit here beside me, watch me play
Kiss me while I'm dreaming
Pick good worms and feed me right
Tuck me in to soft moon light
Stay with me all through the night
And bathe me in the early morning
Spring, my favorite time of year
New babies are here
They look up their parents, screaming
Feed me, love me, show me the way
Sit here beside me, watch me play
And kiss me while I'm dreaming
More to come....
